August Marlow has been stranded on an alien world with nothing but a strange system to guide his way. To survive, he must summon allies, conquer the dangers of his environment, and uncover the mystery of Devil's Nest—and maybe he'll learn what it means to be a leader along the way.

August Marlow has managed to find a tenuous balance with the interface, the environment and the artificially created race of beings known as the Voithos. The goal has changed from simply surviving Devil's Nest to making the island home, and to do that; they must come together to leverage stolen knowledge on runes, uncover forgotten technology and build up a society that can harbour the rest of their people. The problem is, they aren't the only ones who call this planet home, and so one question remains—where are the Children of Gaia?

August Marlow has learned that an even greater threat exists and that they weren’t quite as alone as he had originally believed. There are other people hidden somewhere on the island, and when he encounters one at the crash site of an Anemoi Transport, it quickly turns violent. There is something distinctly wrong with the Children of Gaia on Devil's Nest, and August soon discovers that the answers lie within the Personal Drone Interface of one Elard Mantos.
